Chemical Peels
Chemical peels use the application of various agents (glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and trichloracetic acid) to peel off the outer layers of the skin to reveal fresher, smoother skin. Basically, the more skin is removed, the greater the benefit. To get a great improvement from one peel, one must be able to have significant peeling lasting 7-9 days of "downtime". This necessitates a trichloracetic acid peel, the strongest type of chemical peel that we perform.
