Common Skin Conditions
Restylane
Restylane is a dermal filler indicated for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Restylane is made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring compound found in skin and other tissue. With age, the amount of HA in the skin decreases, making the skin prone to wrinkling. By injecting Restylane, a dermatologist can increase the volume of HA in tissue and lessen wrinkling, achieving a more youthful appearance. Restylane is especially good in the nasolabial folds and oral areas, where it lasts 6-9 months. Restylane also augments the lips but with a shorter duration.
